The Most Beautiful Beaches of Sardinia

Selecting the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia is difficult, as many of those considered the most beautiful in Italy are found right in this region. So, we decided to choose a few from different areas so that no matter where you are, you can decide to visit one of these beaches.

While it’s true that this region is not just about the sea, and tourism to discover its inland areas is growing, it remains a fact that the beaches of Sardinia are places of stunning beauty that sometimes leave you speechless. White, golden, and even pink sand, rocks, shallow light blue water that gradually turns deep blue, and the fragrant Mediterranean scrub. Don’t you already want to be there?

Here are our (and not only ours) favorites:

Cala Portese: Located in the southeastern part of the island of Caprera, it is also known as the "Spiaggia dei Due Mari" (Beach of Two Seas) because it consists of two stretches of beach that connect the so-called Red Island to Caprera. Thanks to its position, this gem nestled in a cove sheltered from the winds, with a wide coastline opening, is often visited by medium and large-sized boats. There are about a dozen buoys for mooring.

Cala Coticcio: Located in the northeastern part of Caprera, its fine sand and the shades of crystal-clear water are framed by pinkish rocks and Mediterranean scrub. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful coves in the national park, it’s also known as "Tahiti."

La Pelosa – Stintino: Located in the northwest of the island, La Pelosa is famous for its fine white sand and turquoise waters. Protected by a natural barrier, this beach offers calm, transparent waters, ideal for snorkeling lovers. Don’t miss the view of the Aragonese tower, a symbol of the beach.

Cala Goloritzé – Baunei: Only accessible on foot or by sea, Cala Goloritzé is a true hidden gem. The beach is characterized by white pebbles and emerald-colored waters.

Cala Mariolu – Baunei: A pearl of the Gulf of Orosei, voted the second most beautiful beach in the world by "The World’s 50 Best Beaches." It’s known for its white pebbles and incredibly clear waters. The cove can only be reached by sea or via a hiking trail, ensuring a less touristy atmosphere compared to other beaches. Perfect for those seeking an immersive experience in nature.

Tuerredda – Teulada: Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Sardinia, it boasts golden sand and a sea reminiscent of the Caribbean. Located between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, this beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Chia – Domus de Maria: The beaches of Chia, with their golden dunes and crystal-clear waters, are among the most scenic in southern Sardinia. The hidden coves and shallow waters make these beaches ideal for families and for those who love exploring the coast by paddle board.

By sailing boat, you can reach these fantastic beaches and solitary stretches of coastline, hidden coves, enchanting cliffs, and bluffs. Days will pass by with relaxation, sea life, unforgettable sunsets, and excursions on land.

In addition to boat rental, you can enrich your holiday with selected "experiences" to discover the authenticity of the region or try other outdoor activities.
